North American Alumni Association

There are approximately 400 Christian Medical College, Ludhiana (CMC) graduates living in the United States and Canada. They are members of the North American Alumni Association, formed to keep in touch with each other and to help their alma-mater. They are working in some of the most notable medical institutions and are providing outstanding medical care to the American and Canadian public.

In 1998, the association called upon the Christian Medical College Board, USA, to join with them in revitalizing their institution. Accordingly, the "Operation Rescue" program was started.

Alumni were urged to participate in helping with the special needs of Christian Medical College and Hospital Ludhiana. This was done through donations of funds and stock certificates, volunteer service in India, plus donations of equipment, books and supplies to be sent in container shipments. Endowments have been set up to support the Department of Medicine and various scholarships for students.

The Alumni Association meets annually.
